Outline Development
Your Manuscript’s Roadmap
A structured roadmap to guide your manuscript from idea to fully realized book, giving you clarity, direction, and momentum every step of the way.
I get it…
You feel overwhelmed by ideas but paralyzed when it comes to shaping them into a coherent book.
→
Without a clear outline, you risk wasting time writing hundreds of pages that ultimately don’t hold together.
→
The lack of structure makes you doubt your ability to finish or produce something worthy of publication.
→
Agents, publishers, and readers can spot a book with no clear throughline—leaving your work overlooked.
→
You can write a book you’re incredibly proud of.
You just need someone with industry experience and a passion for helping people tell their stories.
Outline development gives your manuscript direction and momentum by creating a clear roadmap from concept to finished book. Instead of feeling lost in a sea of ideas, you’ll receive expert guidance to structure your content, define key messages, and set achievable writing milestones.
From chapter organization and logical flow to pacing and audience alignment, this process ensures your book has a strong foundation that supports every idea you want to convey. With a detailed, actionable outline, you’ll move forward with confidence, avoiding wasted effort and staying focused on what truly matters.
The result is a manuscript framework that empowers you to write efficiently and strategically—turning a jumble of ideas into a coherent, high-impact book.
My outline development charts your manuscript’s path.
It provides a clear, actionable roadmap that organizes your ideas, highlights key messages, and gives you the confidence to move forward efficiently.

About
The publishing world has a reputation for being exclusive.
But here, you and your book are welcome, and I want to hear your story.
I’ve worked on everything from New York Times and USA Today bestsellers and Indie Next picks to self-published debut novels. I’ve worked with authors who have a lot of letters after their names, attended the most prestigious schools in the world, and have a lot of famous friends. But I’ve also helped people who take money out of their retirement to follow their dreams and write a book.
I’m so proud of all the corners of the publishing world I get to play in. No book is more important to me than another. What matters most to me is in the end, it feels like you. I’m so proud to have helped hundreds of authors elevate their voices and amplify their messages. This work is more important now than ever.

How Outline Development Works
-
We start with a thirty-minute discovery call where we can get to know each other and discuss your goals. I’ll gather details about where you’re at in the writing or brainstorming process, when you’d like to publish, and other nitty-gritty details.
After this call, we’ll establish a schedule for our coaching calls that will support your progress. This call does not count toward the coaching calls listed in each coaching tier.
-
Over three outlining calls, we work through several steps to work toward a complete, comprehensive outline. Call topics include:
Evaluate multiple structure options aligned with your goals and audience
Brainstorm additional content or research needed
Conduct exercises to identify the strongest path forward
Discuss pacing, chapter flow, and logical sequencing
Refine ideas into actionable steps for each chapter or section
-
After each meeting, I send my clients call summaries and progress blueprints. These detail what we discussed on the call and the best path forward for any challenges. I also update the progress blueprint that outlines what the author’s goals are for the next outlining session.
These materials help my clients refer back to our chats when they dive back into work and also remind them where we’re headed.
-
By the end of our sessions, you will have an comprehensive outline that includes the following:
Chapter and subchapter breakdown
Key points, concepts, or story beats per section
Suggested sequence for maximum impact
Notes on content gaps or areas requiring further research
-
At the end of your coaching package, you’ll receive an author success roadmap compiled specifically for you.
I share best practices and guidance on how the author can navigate things like contacting agents, querying publishers, investigating self-publishing, contacting internal or cover artists—pretty much everything involved in getting your book into readers hands.
