Book Coaching
Momentum for your Manuscript
One-on-one support to move your book forward, no matter where you are in the process.
I get it…
You’ve poured your ideas onto the page, but turning them into a manuscript that’s clear, compelling, and ready for readers or publishers is harder than it looks.
→
Without an expert to guide you, it’s easy to misjudge what makes a book successful, from structure to clarity to market expectations.
→
Finishing on your own risks a half-baked manuscript, unclear messaging, or a book that fails to engage the audience it deserves.
→
Too often, manuscripts like yours stall, get rejected, or fail to achieve their potential and months or years of effort can go to waste.
→
You can write a book you’re incredibly proud of.
You just need someone with industry experience and a passion for helping people tell their stories.
Book coaching gives you the structure, accountability, and expert feedback you need to finally move your manuscript from dream to reality. Instead of getting lost in uncertainty or endless drafts, you’ll have a trusted partner guiding you through each stage of the process—helping you clarify your message, refine your structure, and develop your unique voice with confidence.
Whether you’re starting with a spark of an idea or you’ve already drafted chapters that need shaping, coaching provides the personalized support to keep you moving forward. Together, we’ll cut through the confusion, tackle challenges before they derail you, and make steady, measurable progress toward your publishing goals.
This is your chance to stop second-guessing and start creating a manuscript that reflects your vision, serves your audience, and positions you for success.
My coaching approach meets authors where they’re at.
Whether you’re just starting or in the middle of your first draft, together we identify your goals, work through your challenges, and get your book ready for print.

About
The publishing world has a reputation for being exclusive.
But here, you and your book are welcome, and I want to hear your story.
I’ve worked on everything from New York Times and USA Today bestsellers and Indie Next picks to self-published debut novels. I’ve worked with authors who have a lot of letters after their names, attended the most prestigious schools in the world, and have a lot of famous friends. But I’ve also helped people who take money out of their retirement to follow their dreams and write a book.
I’m so proud of all the corners of the publishing world I get to play in. No book is more important to me than another. What matters most to me is in the end, it feels like you. I’m so proud to have helped hundreds of authors elevate their voices and amplify their messages. This work is more important now than ever.

How Coaching Works
-
We start with a thirty-minute discovery call where we can get to know each other and discuss your goals. I’ll gather details about where you’re at in the writing or brainstorming process, when you’d like to publish, and other nitty-gritty details.
After this call, we’ll establish a schedule for our coaching calls that will support your progress. This call does not count toward the coaching calls listed in each coaching tier.
-
I usually meet all coaching clients biweekly for coaching calls, although the timing can be flexible to fit your schedule. On these calls we set direction for outlining or writing progress, review drafts or sections for improvement or redirection, set goals for your next writing push, and talk through any best practices or approach options.
-
After each meeting, I send my clients call summaries and progress blueprints. These detail what we discussed on the call and the best path forward for any challenges. I also update the progress blueprint that outlines what the author’s goals are for the next coaching session.
These materials help my clients refer back to our chats when they dive back into work and also remind them where we’re headed.
-
Manuscript assessments are high-level strategic reviews that assess your work for structure, tone, messaging, etc. I work with my clients to identify the right times for the assessments, considering where they are in their process.
At agreed-upon milestones, clients will submit their drafts to me for deep-dive feedback. Providing these insights throughout the coaching process ensures authors are getting both strategic and tactical feedback on their manuscripts.
-
At the end of your coaching package, you’ll receive an author success roadmap compiled specifically for you.
I share best practices and guidance on how the author can navigate things like contacting agents, querying publishers, investigating self-publishing, contacting internal or cover artists—pretty much everything involved in getting your book into readers hands.

QUESTIONS andANSWERS
-
Book coaching is hands-on, personalized support for your writing journey. Instead of just giving you feedback and sending you on your way, I work with you through live sessions, tailored exercises, and ongoing guidance so you can make consistent progress toward your goals.
-
That depends on where you’re starting and which package you choose. Some authors finish with a developed outline, others with a completed draft, and some with a polished manuscript ready for copy editing or querying. Together, we’ll set realistic goals that match the stage of your project and the number of sessions you’ve booked.
-
Yes! I know book coaching is a significant investment, so I offer flexible payment plans. A 20% deposit secures your spot, with the remaining balance spread across milestones as we move through the process.
Many authors choose to continue working with me after their initial package is complete. You can extend with additional sessions or upgrade to a longer package if you’d like ongoing support. Pricing for extensions is straightforward, and I’ll make sure you know the cost up front so you can plan accordingly.
-
We’ll talk through your project, timeline, and writing habits during our discovery call. Based on your starting point and what you want to achieve, I’ll recommend the coaching package that will serve you best.
-
You’re in the perfect place. This is how most authors start their book coaching journeys. Coaching is flexible, and I’ll meet you where you are. Whether you’ve got an outline, a few chapters, or a full draft, I’ll help you take the next step with clarity and confidence.
-
Editing focuses on the text itself; I revise, suggest changes, and refine what’s already written.
Coaching focuses on you as the writer: building skills, overcoming obstacles, and developing your manuscript with guidance and accountability.
-
That’s part of the process! Life and writing both come with curveballs. If you miss a milestone, I’ll help you reframe your goals and build a plan that keeps you moving forward without losing momentum.
-
That depends on your goals and package length. For example, expecting a polished draft after just three sessions usually requires significant writing between calls.
I’ll give you a realistic picture of what’s needed to reach your goals so you can plan your time accordingly.
